Source selector

In Guided search, the Source selector can be used to browse and select sources for searching FSTA Direct.

The Source selector accesses an index of the names of all the journals, patent offices, and other serials in FSTA, and an exact name can be selected for subsequent searching.

To use the tool, click on the Source selector link in the Source panel of Guided search. A pop-up window displays the Source selector tool:

1. Start typing the source name in the selector box, and as the name is typed a list of options is displayed below
2. Select the name you wish to search for by clicking on it, and the window is closed with the name added to the Guided search Sources box
