Search history

The Session Search History pane in the My FSTA searches panel records and displays all the searches that have been run in the current FSTA Direct session.

Searches are presented most-recent first in a scrollable list with a unique identifying number preceded by '#' and the number of records found by the search. In the example below, search #3 for all authors (AL) with the name 'Honda, C.' returned 14 records.

Searches may be combined using their identifiers. See Combine searches for more information.

Other functions are available if you click on the name of a search.  A pop up Search Tools window offers a range of options:

  • Show results: shows the results generated by this search at the time it was run
  • Edit results: returns to the search screen where the search was created and populates the screen with the query as it was built. If a Guided or Advanced search is Customized or modified in any way then the search is shown in the Customize box on the Advanced search screen
  • Save search: a pop-up window appears; enter a name for the search and click on Save. The search now appears in the Saved searches pane
  • Export results: the results set can be exported in a number of formats to hard disk or by email
  • Print results: the results set can be printed

Click on the Clear link to reset the current session search history.
