Saved searches and alerts

The Saved searches and alerts pane is available to users who have logged on with an FSTA Direct username and password. Saved searches are associated with your account and can be easily retrieved to run at any time. Email alerts can be set up to be run on a regular basis and RSS feeds are available of all saved searches.

The Saved searches pane shows a scrollable list of named saved searches together with an orange RSS feed icon and an email alert icon, if set.

Click on a named search and a number of actions are possible from a pop up menu

  • Run search: retrieves the search and displays results against currently set limits
  • Edit search: retrieves the search and presents it in an appropriate search interface for editing
  • Delete search
  • Rename search
  • Set alert: a pop-up Window appears where the properties (Frequency, View type, Format) of an email alert can be set; email alerts are sent to the email address registered with your FSTA Direct user account

  • Properties: point at this item with your mouse pointer and a tooltip appears with some summary information about the Alert.

If the search already has an Alert set, options are presented to Edit the Alert and to Cancel it.
