Author selector

In Guided search, the Author selector can be used to browse and select author names for searching FSTA Direct.

The Author selector accesses an index of the names of all the authors, patent assignees, and corporate authors in FSTA, and an exact name can be selected for subsequent searching.

To use the tool, click on the Author selector link in the Author panel of Guided search. A pop-up window displays the Author selector tool

Start typing the author name in the selector box, and as the name is typed a list of options is displayed below
Select the name you wish to search for by clicking on it, and the window is closed with the name added to the Guided search author box.
